Chapter 2 Bosses

C.H.U.B. (Chub) – Only found in the Caves. Its health is moderate, and it continuously spouts small white worms while biting the player. The fight is a bit time‑consuming but not overly difficult.

Gurdy (Flying King) – Appears in the Caves. High HP. During the boss encounter the player is forced downward, with projectile balls flanking both sides. Gurdy randomly releases red flies, odd‑numbered fly projectiles, and five‑direction bullets, making use of terrain a key to dodge. It’s annoying but not too hard.

Mega Maw – Moderate health and a brand‑new boss. At the start of the fight the player is positioned below Mega Maw, who then unleashes flames in five directions, rotating flame rings, and dual‑layer rotating flames. It also spits out a small jumping creature called Hooper. Dodging the flames is the main challenge.

Mega Fatty – Usually has a bit more health. New boss with several brutal moves: it spits a large barrage of vomit toward the player, summons small flying creatures, pulls in the player for a strong inhale, then spits out more vomit. The final skill involves jumping and landing on the player’s spot, with a variable landing time that forces constant movement. It’s not meant for prolonged fights.

C.H.A.D. (Chad) – Similar to Chub but spits bullet beetles. Its body shrinks as its health decreases. Defeating it drops the LittleChad item.

The Hollow – The diagonal snake from the original game. It’s a tough boss that drops to a green variant with three parallel bullets and a black variant that releases an explosion of big flies after death.

The Husk – Very similar to the original but faster. Easy to beat, just like the Fly Duke.

The Peep – Medium health. It jumps onto the player’s spot, throws six‑direction bullets, and produces a sticky yellow corrosive fluid. As its health drops, its eyes shift diagonally. Green variants start with two eyes outside the body; yellow variants have a smaller peep.

Polycephalus – Low health and brand‑new. It burrows underground, slowly approaches, and when close enough it erupts, firing a 'mote'‑style barrage and six‑direction bullets. It’s largely a time‑waster.

The Carrion Queen – Moderate health and a rare encounter. First phase releases red flies that bite and regenerate; second phase drops the flies and moves diagonally, ignoring obstacles. The only way to avoid the second stage is to finish the fight quickly. Red flies linger even after leaving the room.

The Wretched – Medium health. A watery boss similar to Widow, with no distinctive differences.

Dark One – Moderate health and a brand‑new boss. It emits a temporary darkness, then dashes through it. When it stops, eight‑direction bullets appear; staying directly below can trigger a sudden flame burst.

Pestilence – The second stage of the original’s “Mushroom” boss. It’s stronger and has a larger green water area, making it hard to dodge. It spits self‑targeting bullets; first stage releases small white worms, second stage red flies, and it drops small meat pieces and bandage balls.
