Capcom’s most recent earnings report revealed that Monster Hunter: World did not meet the company’s lofty expectations following its launch. Meanwhile, the company’s sales figures for Devil May Cry 5 are impressive, with global sales approaching 11 million copies and more than 2.13 million units sold in the first half of the year, making it Capcom’s best‑selling title this fiscal period.

The Resident Evil franchise continues to dominate the market, with four of its major releases sustaining strong sales.
Resident Evil Village has moved past 12.872 million copies sold worldwide, and the game shipped an additional 1.566 million units in the last two quarters.
Resident Evil 4: Remake, released later, sold 1.266 million copies during its launch period and now boasts a total of 11.20 million units.
Resident Evil 2: Remake, introduced in 2019, tops the series with a cumulative 16.342 million copies sold.
Resident Evil 7 is steadily climbing toward the 16 million‑copy mark, with nearly 1.20 million units sold in the current fiscal year.
Fans of Resident Evil 7 should note that the title is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in February next year, concurrently with Resident Evil Village—an event that could push its sales past those of Resident Evil 2: Remake.
