Inflexion Games, the studio behind the survival title Nightingale Legend, has confirmed that it will carry out layoffs as part of a company restructuring.
In a statement released to GI.biz, the company attributed the decision to the current state of the gaming industry.
The announcement read: 'After exploring many options, we have made the difficult choice to reorganize our studio to secure long‑term sustainability. Unfortunately, this means saying goodbye to some talented, dedicated team members.'
The company emphasized that it will handle the situation with empathy, respect and care for everyone affected, and will do everything possible to support them through this transition and help them find new opportunities.
It also acknowledged that Nightingale Legend’s financial performance during its early access phase was not as strong as hoped, making it unsustainable to maintain the current scale. Steam data shows the game peaked at 47,000 concurrent players at launch in February, but has since dropped, with the highest figure in the last 30 days only 3,000 and a 24‑hour peak of 984.
