Divinity: Original Sin 2 launched Steam early access on September 15. In a recent interview, Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke revealed plans for new content.

During the early‑access phase, the game will receive extra features such as additional skill trees and a mysterious “Master Mode”. These additions will be thoroughly tested, and while some of them will be limited to the first act, the rest will appear in later chapters once the full game is released.
Vincke said, “We will definitely add some content to the first act. There will be a tutorial at the start before you reach the mainland, but this section can now be skipped. We will give early‑access players enough content—most of what will appear at full release.”

Vincke added, “You will see the Master Mode, brand‑new skill trees, and a lot of new system content during early access. Some surprises may even be unknown to me. Another new feature is our attempt at an arena mode, which looks quite promising. These features are very close to the complete version.”
