“《出租生涯:模拟城市驾驶》 is a tragic case of potential unfulfilled. It builds a magnificent stage—the sprawling, sun-drenched streets of Barcelona—and then provides its actors with a script of three lines. The driving is adequate, the management is anemic, and the synthesis between the two is nonexistent. It is a game about running a taxi company that somehow makes you feel like neither a driver nor a boss, but a glorified delivery person for an invisible, uncaring metropolis. The '褒贬不一' ratings are generous; they reflect a game that is technically functional and occasionally pleasant to look at, but fundamentally and irrevocably boring. Its saving grace is its unique premise, but premise alone cannot sustain a 60+ hour experience. This is a cautionary tale: scale without substance is just a big, empty parking lot.”
Gameplay is where this schism becomes brutally apparent. The 'driver' loop is functional but brittle. You follow the GPS, obey traffic lights, and try not to crash. The promised 'random events'—accidents, construction, parades—are, in practice, predictable spawns that quickly become repetitive background noise rather than dynamic challenges. The AI traffic is notoriously simplistic, often creating more frustration through illogical braking or lane-blocking than any genuine sense of a bustling city. The management layer is disappointingly shallow. 'Unlocking skills' via XP mostly boils down to passively accepting longer trips or carrying more passengers, offering little meaningful progression. Expanding your fleet and hiring drivers is a numbers game with negligible depth; there's no meaningful dispatch strategy, pricing competition, or vehicle maintenance beyond basic upgrades. The game asks you to 'focus on details' but provides almost no meaningful details to focus on. The core loop thus collapses into a grind: drive repetitive routes to earn money, buy a slightly better car, repeat. Any strategic thought is buried under the monotony of the 460km map, which feels vast but hauntingly empty of engaging content.
Technically, the replication of Barcelona is the game's most credible achievement. The scale is impressive, with recognizable landmarks and a generally coherent urban layout that benefits from a clear, sunny Mediterranean aesthetic. Vehicle models are decent, and the game runs acceptably on recommended hardware at 60 FPS. However, this praise is backhanded. The city is a postcard without people. Streets feel sterile, lacking the ambient crowds, detailed storefronts, and environmental storytelling that make a city feel alive. Textures are often repetitive, and the world is a beautiful shell with little beneath the surface. It looks like a city you drive through, not one you exist within. The visual fidelity serves the simulation's emptiness, acting as a high-quality veneer over a fundamentally hollow experience.
