In "Song of Thunder" there are many spots suitable for building a base, and the area below Black Ridge Port stands out as a unique choice. However, many players are not fully aware of its characteristics. The main feature is its location on cotton fields. The flat land is extensive but is broken up by gentle slopes and depressions, so planning the layout takes considerable effort, although the road network is well developed.

Song of Thunder – Black Ridge Port Sub Base Features
The base below Black Ridge Port is also known as Base 7, a cotton field area.
1. Layout: The flat terrain is large, yet fragmented by gentle hills and hollows, so planning the building layout requires significant effort. The road system is well established, earning a 4 out of 5 rating.
2. Resources: It contains iron, tin, and granite but lacks copper. Cotton is plentiful. Although swamp resources are within the coverage of the collection station, their extraction efficiency is low; clearing the camp is necessary for safe gathering. It is recommended to set up a forward outpost for swamp collection. Overall score: 4.
3. Transport: The location is somewhat remote, rating 1.
4. Leveling: To the north and east, there are many patrols, yet it is less convenient than bases 3, 4, and 5, rating 3.
5. Overall assessment: The late‑game resource abundance contrasts with the scarcity of foundational resources, and the site is somewhat distant. It serves as an excellent resource outpost location, but is unsuitable for constructing a main base. Not recommended.
