在首场社区直播中，Rare透露《盗贼之海》将在明年开启付费自定义服务器。Rare指出，“Custom Seas”——即私人付费服务器——将于2026年初上线。
此功能还将为玩家提供专属工具，例如在制作游戏预告时使用的“电影摄影机”模式。虽然Rare尚未公布具体价格，却承认维护成本偏高，因而将收取月费。
此外，《盗贼之海》赛季模式亦将得到升级。Rare坦言，近期赛季的活力略显不足。
自第17赛季起，每个三个月赛季将拆分为三个阶段。开发团队称，首月将聚焦“重燃沙盒玩法活力”，并“搅动局势”。
第二个月将侧重实时活动，第三个月则围绕社区展开。
此消息发布前一周，Rare刚遭遇微软大规模裁员，数名资深开发者离职，其在研项目《永野（Everwild）》亦被取消。
