Saber Interactive Cancels Public Beta of Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2
Saber Interactive has pulled the scheduled public beta for its upcoming shooter‑action title, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, citing a desire to concentrate on preparing for a full launch.
The beta, originally set to open in August 2023, was disrupted by the game’s postponement from its intended 2023 winter release to a late 2024 launch. A new cooperative testing mode announced at the end of December 2023 can still be signed up for via the official site, but players cannot actually participate.
On Steam, the developers stated that Space Marine 2 is almost ready. They are now entirely focused on polishing, optimizing, and addressing bugs before the September 9 release, which means no public online tests will be conducted as the team needs to prepare for the full launch and ensure players get the best experience.
To make up for the disappointment, anyone who registered for the beta before yesterday will receive an exclusive sniper rifle skin when the game launches.
